Across more than forty years, I have worked as a telephone operator, installer, technical writer, trainer, federal employee, publisher, coach, caregiver, and church event coordinator. The titles changed, but the work kept asking the same things of me: listen carefully, make complicated information understandable, solve problems, and help people move forward.
COMMUNICATION & TECHNOLOGY
My professional career began with the telephone company, where I moved from operator to installation, circuit assembly, system conversion, and training. That work led to years of technical writing and systems support for federal agencies and contractors.
TRAINING & LEADERSHIP
I wrote manuals, designed courses, taught staff through major technology changes, and delivered training across the federal judiciary. My volunteer leadership with Landmark Worldwide later included managing global reporting and training statisticians in several regions.
WRITING & PUBLISHING
In 2006, I left federal service to answer the call to write. Since then, I have written and published books, developed reflections and studies, guided other writers, and built Mauldin Books and Shepherd's Way Publications.
CARE & SERVICE
Some of my most meaningful work has never fit neatly on a résumé. I have cared for people facing cancer, memory loss, visual challenges, and the needs of aging, while also coordinating weddings, funerals, and special events for my church.
